The mental health crisis among children and young people is deepening and Vocal Leaders and Music Educators are using singing and vocal work to make a real difference. We need your help to understand the full picture and learn how we can support you in your work.
About the Survey
We've created a short survey (approximately 7 minutes) to understand:
Your current practice with singing and vocal work
The mental health challenges you're seeing
The skills, knowledge, or resources you need
How Sing Up Foundation can better support you
Your responses will directly inform our State of Play Report and shape the resources and support we develop.
Who Should Take Part
Anyone who works directly with children and young people:
Teachers (mainstream and SEND)
Music leaders and practitioners
Music therapists and mental health professionals
Community arts practitioners and youth workers
Senior leaders and headteachers
You don't need to be an expert in mental health or currently using singing for wellbeing. We want to hear from you wherever you are in your practice.
Why Your Voice Matters
When you complete this survey, you're:
Contributing to a national picture of practice
Helping identify gaps in support and training
Informing resources that could help thousands of practitioners
Adding your voice to the growing evidence base
We need practitioners, not just researchers or policymakers, to shape what happens next.
Please also consider sharing this survey with your friends and colleauges. We need as many responses as possible to get as full a picture as possible to support you and our work.
Survey closes: Friday, 17 January 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your insights with us.
